Near-Critical Activity

Defintion

Float, in project management, is the amount of time an activity can be delayed without delaying any successor activities. A near-critical activity is any activity that has minimum float, i.e. it cannot be delayed substantially without becoming critical. Completing near-critical activities on schedule is crucial for successful projects.
